Jennifer was born in Saskatoon and grew up in Waldheim, Saskatchewan. After graduating from high school, Jennifer attended university at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario where she studied psychology. Jennifer graduated from Queen’s with a BA and has made Saskatoon her home since then.
After graduating from university and having a keen interest in the justice system, Jennifer began working with the Ministry of Corrections at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre as a Corrections Worker. During this time, Jennifer served as Director and then Secretary for the board of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan. She then worked with the Ministry of Social Services as an Income Assistance Worker, assisting citizens of Saskatoon who were in need of public welfare. During this time, she served as the Vice President for the board of Elizabeth Fry.
Following her work in government, Jennifer was employed as a Union Representative with United Food & Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 1400. It was here she discovered her passion for representing people and continues to do so in her current position as a Labour Relations Officer with the Health Sciences Association of Saskatchewan.
