We introduced Bill 622, The Provincial Health Authority (Executive Pay Freeze) Amendment Act, to freeze Saskatchewan Health Authority board pay until frontline health care workers get a fair contract.
Health care workers have gone three years without a contract and four years without a pay raise.
That hurts morale, makes recruitment harder, and makes it even tougher to keep the workers Saskatchewan patients rely on.
If frontline health care workers are being told to wait, then SHA Executives and Board members should not be getting raises.
An NDP government will make sure executives don't get raises while workers are without a contract.
