Mary Ann Harrison is the NDP candidate in the Last Mountain-Touchwood constituency.
Harrison has worked in various positions with the Government of Saskatchewan since 1989. She is now the National Union of Public and General Employees vice-president with the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees Union and is on leave from her position with the legislation branch of the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure. She serves as chair of the administration and communications component for her unions negotiating committee for collective bargaining and has served as treasurer of her local union.
Harrison is a devoted mom and grandmother. She was active with her children's schools serving as president of the PTA and coaching and managing various sports teams. She and her husband have five children and 18 grandchildren, and are raising five-year-old twins that have been in their care since the twins were just three months old.
Harrison enjoys horseback riding and has 5 horses. Her and her family live on an acreage between Markinch and Southey.
