Gloria was born and raised in Regina and attended Thom Collegiate and the University of Regina, where she completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree. She is currently completing her Master’s in Social Work at the University of Regina.
Gloria has worked primarily in the non-profit sector, in community development and with children in foster care. She was the executive director for a community association for six years and developed programs to meet the needs of neighbourhood participants. While in this role, Gloria listened to the concerns area residents faced and responded in proactive ways – offering advocacy, resources, and programs to help fill service gaps in the community. Gloria learned the value of working collaboratively with individuals and agencies.
For the last four years, Gloria has been employed as the constituency assistant for Trent Wotherspoon. She has taken an active role within her union by serving on several committees and was recently elected as the COPE 397 Secretary.
Gloria lives with her daughter, Kaitlyn, who is a grade 11 student at O’Neill high school. Gloria enjoys being outdoors, spending time with her family and friends, taking in local concerts and sporting events.
