Theresa is a school board trustee for Christ the Teacher School Division,and works in the AgriStability program for the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation.
She is the oldest of five children and the daughter of two teachers who also worked a small grain farm in the Maymont-Sonningdale area of Saskatchewan. She is married to Stuart Wilson, a teacher at the Melville Comprehensive High School.
Theresa and Stuart have one daughter, MacKenzie; a second year student attending the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.
In 2003, she completed her degree at the University of Saskatchewan, majoring in English with a double minor in Environmental studies and Native studies.
While working as a summer student with the Saskatoon Open Door Society, she developed a curriculum for immigrant children preparing for the Canadian school system. When the family moved to Red Earth First Nation for Stuart’s first teaching job, Theresa worked for two years as a substitute teacher, substitute teacher assistant and volleyball coach. While working for Rail City Industries, she helped implement an employment readiness program for the Melville area. She developed and taught the Career Coaching curriculum portion of the program, and participated in assessing potential participants.
Theresa now works for the AgriStability department of the Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Corporation. she represents Melville as a School Board Trustee for Christ the Teacher School Division. Five years ago, Theresa decided to learn Ukrainian Dance as part of her heritage; and now participates in competitions with her dance group at dance festivals.
