Why didn't the people least capable of working due to disability, get an increase in their SAID?

The last increase for people on SAID took place several years ago. In this last budget there were no increases for these people who are living well below the poverty line. Their food costs more, there are no longer any subsidies for rent that are too high and the money they get to pay for disability related items and services should not have to cover things like basic television service, computers and internet, transportation and rent. It is good that people with disabilities who are able to work are able to keep more of their earnings before they are clawed back, but people with Disabilities who can not work bear the same increase in costs and they did not get one cent more to pay for the things they need. What a pitiful reflection this is on this government’s attitude on those who can't help themselves out of poverty let alone pay for basic needs.
