Aleana Young is the Sask NDP MLA for Regina University and your candidate in the newly formed constituency of Regina South Albert. She serves as the Whip, as well as the Official Opposition Critic for Jobs and Economy, Trade & Export Development, Immigration, SaskPower, Energy and Resources, and Forestry. Young was first elected in 2020.

Prior to being elected MLA, Aleana served two terms as a Regina Public School Board Trustee where she was a tireless advocate for high-quality education for Saskatchewan students and properly resourced classrooms. 

Aleana is a small business owner operating a cheese shop in the Cathedral neighbourhood and loves running around Wascana Lake. She and her husband are avid readers who enjoy camping, the outdoors, and culinary adventures. They have two children - Hara and Kit.
