Scott Moe Can’t Be Trusted To Cut Families A Break After Doing Nothing For Years
Sask. Party previously cut activity benefit it now claims to support
PRINCE ALBERT - Nicole Rancourt, NDP candidate for Prince Albert Northcote, said the people of this province shouldn’t trust that Scott Moe and Sask. Party will deliver on election campaign promises to cut families a break.
“We’ve played this game with the Sask. Party before,” Rancourt said following a Moe news conference pledging to increase the Active Families Benefit.
“They cut this very same activity benefit before. We know families have been struggling with the cost-of-living crisis for years and now, only at election time, does Scott Moe pretend to care. He can’t be trusted.”
Rancourt said Carla Beck and the Saskatchewan NDP will cut the gas tax on Day 1, a move that will save hundreds of dollars for parents driving kids to everything from weekend hockey tournaments to regularly scheduled band practices.
“We’re also going to fund our schools, which have been forced to cancel sports programs and convert dance studios into classrooms as Scott Moe and the Sask. Party failed to build schools and fund students.
“Carla Beck will get us out of last place on education and ensure every child has the opportunities they deserve. It’s time for change.”
