Steven Allen is a retired teacher and vice-principal.
Steven has always had an interest in politics, the art of the possible, and has served as President of the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation prior to retirement. He has served as President of the Saskatchewan Science Teachers Society, on the Senate of the University of Saskatchewan, and on the board of the Stirling McDowel Foundation.
Presently Steven is serving as the acting President of the Saskatchewan Library Trustees Association, on the executive of Wheatland library, and chair of the Luseland Library Board.
Volunteer work has also included being co-chair of UPSTREAM, an NGO that advocates for improvements in the social determinants of health.
Steven has a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Saskatchewan and is a recipient of a Shell Canada Environmental Fellowship, and an Outstanding Agricultural Ambassador award.
Steven has a firm commitment to public institutions and the role they serve in the creation of a just society for all.
Steven and his wife Arlette, have two grown children, Alyssa and James.
He enjoys Gardening, Birdwatching, reading and learning the Cello in his spare time.
