We need to nominate and elect more women.
There is tremendous value in ensuring we have more New Democrat women’s voices in the Legislative Assembly, around the caucus table and, soon, around the cabinet table. An important part of ensuring we nominate and elect more women is to provide financial support to women candidates during the nomination process.
The Bessie Ellis Fund exists to provide financial support to women that seek nominations to be New Democrat candidates.
In the next election, let’s make sure we have a lot more women candidates knocking on doors, participating in debates, pointing out how this government is failing Saskatchewan families, and making the case for why voters should support the NDP.
