Demand Equity in Education for Students with Disabilities

In 2023, the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission conducted a review of the policies, programs and funding models to provide targeted supports for students living with dyslexia.

According to PISA, Saskatchewan has some of the worst learning outcomes in the country.

Access to education is a right under the Saskatchewan Human Rights Code; and, an untold number of students across Saskatchewan are being denied access to their human right of an education.

Teachers and families across Saskatchewan have been calling for increased classroom supports to meet the growing demand of increasingly large and complex classrooms, to ensure the success of all students, regardless of abilities.
