Moe Has Refused To Help Reduce Costs For Homeowners, Seniors & Families For Years
Sask. Party actually hiked taxes on people during cost-of-living crisis.
REGINA - Today, Saskatchewan NDP candidate for Regina-Elphinstone Centre Meara Conway said Scott Moe and the Sask. Party can’t be trusted to reduce costs for families after ignoring them for years.
“Families have been knocking on the door and asking Scott Moe and the Sask. Party for help with the cost-of-living crisis for years — but no one’s been home,” Conway said after Moe claimed Friday to support tax credits on home renovations, for first time homebuyers and the personal care home benefit.
“The Sask. Party record is actually one of raising costs on families when they could least afford it.”
Conway said Carla Beck has committed to saving families money right away.
“The Sask. Party added PST on groceries and children’s clothing — we’ll get rid of it before Christmas,” she said. “They refused to cut the gas tax — we’ll do that Day 1.”
“They’ve let affordable housing units sit vacant when they could be used to help families. We can’t trust them to deliver on their election-time promises. They’ve lied time after time to get your votes. It’s time for change.”
