Demand an Emergency Session to Address the Cost of Living

With the cost of groceries, housing, car insurance, power and property taxes, all going up, people in our province are doing everything they can just to keep their heads above water. It’s shameful that Scott Moe and the Sask. Party continue to tax groceries and kids’ clothing, while planning even more cost hikes on utility bills, property taxes, and everyday essentials.
Scott Moe repeatedly stands in the Legislature and claims life is affordable here — who in the world is he talking to? It certainly isn’t the people of Saskatchewan.
The Saskatchewan NDP is calling for an emergency sitting of the Legislature, starting immediately, to pass The Rent Control Act, cut the PST on groceries and kids’ clothing and to consider any additional measures aimed at lowering the cost of living and giving families real relief.
