Saskatchewan renters are facing the highest rent increases in Canada — while rents are falling in every other province.
Corporate landlords, many based in Alberta, are bragging about record profits as families here are forced to choose between rent and groceries. Some renters have seen increases of 20%, even 30% in a single year.
This isn’t right.
Other provinces — from British Columbia to Manitoba to even Doug Ford’s Ontario — have rent control. Saskatchewan families deserve the same protection.
