Amber Stewart is a trained social worker, and has been employed at Battle River Treaty Six Health as a counsellor, worked with the Ministry of Justice as a Probation Officer, and is currently the Executive Director of the Battlefords & Area Sexual Assault Centre.
Amber grew up in the Battlefords after her family moved from Regina. Amber and her husband met at Alexander Jr. High and they are now raising their four children in the Battlefords. Aside from her passionate advocacy for regular people, Amber enjoys spending winter weekends in the hockey rink and summer days at the lake with her family, cooking, and participating in community events.
Amber is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Battlefords Female Hockey Association, was the Tournament Chair Novice and Atom Hockey Tournament Committee with the Battlefords Minor Hockey Association, sat on the Board of Directors for the Battlefords Streetfest, was on the Winter Games Volunteer Organizing Committee, is a Past President of the Battlefords Gymnastics Club, and sat on the EMBM School Community Council.
Amber holds a Social Work Degree from the University of Regina.
Amber is committed to building community and believes in putting people first. She is ready to stand up for families and children, seniors, small businesses, workers, and the most vulnerable in the Battlefords.
