Standing with New Democratic Party candidate Melissa Patterson in Moose Jaw Wakamow today, NDP Leader Ryan Meili called on voters in his hometown to reject Scott Moe’s plan for dangerous cuts during a pandemic.
Meili stands with Melissa Patterson to stop the cuts in Moose Jaw Wakamow
“Melissa Patterson in Moose Jaw Wakamow and Kyle Lichtenwald in Moose Jaw North understand the needs of Moose Javians,” said Meili. “They know that the Sask. Party has let families down. It’s time to put a stop to Scott Moe’s dangerous plans that will make life harder for families here and across the province.”
Patterson noted that Sask. Party cuts have hit Moose Jaw particularly hard.
The Sask. Party’s Moose Jaw record:
- They cut provincial funding to Wakamow Valley Park.
- Moose Jaw’s Sasktel Call centre – closed and moved to Regina.
- Ministry of the Environment offices – shuttered to the public.
-
SaskEnergy office closed.
“The Sask. Party’s record of cuts has hurt our city and the families that live and work here,” said Patterson. “Every door I knock on has another story to tell. It’s time to fight back in Moose Jaw Wakamow – and put people first.”
New Democrats will stop the cuts to health care and education, and invest in good jobs for workers in Moose Jaw and all of Saskatchewan with a Sask-First procurement plan to ensure that our roads, schools and hospitals are built by our companies and our workers.
