Kimberley Breckner to be Saskatchewan New Democrat Candidate in Saskatoon Riversdale for the next Provincial Election

SASKATOON – The Saskatchewan NDP has named Kimberley Breckner as their candidate in Saskatoon Riversdale for the next provincial election. Breckner was selected by local Saskatchewan New Democrat members in a contested nomination earlier today.

“I am excited to have the opportunity to represent the Sask NDP here in my home constituency of Riversdale,” said Breckner. “I am excited to continue working with the community to shape a brighter future for Riversdale and for Saskatchewan.”

A U of S graduate and lawyer, Breckner lives in Saskatoon Riversdale with her husband, Paul. In addition to a varied career that has included work in both private practice and for larger companies, such as MNP and BHP, Breckner is an avid volunteer who has served as Chair of Nuit Blanche Saskatoon, mentored with Big Brothers and Big Sisters and was the first female President of the Saskatchewan Drag Racing Association.

“Kimberley has been a consistent advocate for the people of Saskatchewan throughout her life,” said Saskatchewan NDP Leader Carla Beck. “Her compassion and leadership will serve the people of Saskatoon Riversdale well.”
