Alana Wakula to be Saskatchewan New Democrat Candidate in Saskatoon Willowgrove for the next Provincial Election
SASKATOON – The Saskatchewan NDP has named Alana Wakula as candidate in Saskatoon Willowgrove for the next provincial election. Wakula was selected by local Saskatchewan New Democrat members in a contested nomination earlier today.
“I am thankful for the support of the members here in Willowgrove,” said Wakula. “I am running because I want to see positive change. Saskatoon has so much potential. With innovation and investments in our healthcare and education systems, a brighter future for Saskatchewan is possible.”
Wakula is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan College of Law. She articled with Legal Aid before founding Wakula Law. Wakula lives in Willowgrove with her family and is active in the community as a volunteer.
“I am excited to have Alana as our candidate in Saskatoon Willowgrove,” said Saskatchewan NDP Leader Carla Beck. “Alana brings dedication and expertise to our growing team. I know she will be an excellent representative for the people of Saskatoon Willowgrove as their MLA.”
