Born and raised on a farm west of Landis, Saskatchewan, Cindy developed a deep connection to the land and community, which has shaped her lifelong commitment to rural Saskatchewan.
As a fiber artist, Cindy has gained recognition for her creativity and innovation, exhibiting in numerous shows, including the prestigious Saskatchewan Craft Council’s "Dimensions" showcase. Her passion for the arts is matched by her dedication to community involvement, having served on various boards such as the Saskatchewan Craft Council, where she currently chairs, and the Saskatchewan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada.
Cindy's leadership extends beyond the arts, having held positions on regional health boards, school divisions, and rural municipal councils. As an active organizer of cultural events like Culture Days in Biggar and the Prairie Art Road Trip, Cindy has consistently fostered collaboration and community engagement.
Her deep roots in the region, combined with her dedication to improving rural life, make her a strong advocate for Kindersley-Biggar.
