Indigenous Learning - Understanding the Duty to Consult

About this event

We often hear the term "Duty to Consult", but many have a limited understanding of the meaning of the words, and more importantly, the impact of the words of the lives of our Indigenous population. The presentation provides a wide understanding of the duty to consult.

Doug Racine is a lawyer with Stonechild & Racine Aboriginal Law Group in Saskatoon working with Indigenous communities.

This is part of a series. Future zoom presentations are:

  • Sept 6 – Missing Murdered Indigenous Women
  • Sept 13 - Treaties
  • Sept 20 - Metis Script
  • Sept 27 - Daniel’s Decision
