Learning from the couch: Sask. Econ 2.0 - Conversation with Darrin Qualman

This event has already taken place.

Saskatchewan needs to focus on building a new economy. Many of Canada's and Saskatchewan's economic engines are sputtering, or soon will be. We need to use our fossil fuel wealth now to create new employment opportunities for tomorrow. We need an SK ECON 2.0. A Just Transition is critical, but we need something to transition to. Come be part of a discussion of how Saskatchewan and western Canada can install new, low-emission economic engines.

Darrin is the Director of Climate Crisis Policy and Action with the National Farmers Union. He is also the author of the 2019 book Civilization Critical: Energy, Food, Nature, and the Future. He has academic degrees in Political Studies, Biology, and History. He grew up and farmed for many years south of Saskatoon.
