Youth across Saskatchewan are becoming more and more interested in politics because they realize the importance of political participation and dialogue in the democratic process. It is vital that the youth are involved in the decision making process at the provincial level because we are directly impacted by it.
Are there issues that are important to you? Then come to “The Jumping Off Point: How to Get Into Politics”, an interactive virtual event, where you can find out all about getting involved in political advocacy and about the opportunities that the NDP has to offer you! This event will be held on Saturday, June 26th, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm! Our aim is to teach Saskatchewan’s younger generations about the first steps of getting involved with provincial politics and the NDP. Attending this event are special guests party leader Ryan Meili, and two fantastic panelists - MLA Aleana Young and Jordan McPhail. The 2021 Sask NDP summer organizer team will also be there to answer any questions you might have about getting involved in the NDP at various capacities.
Finally at the end of the event, you will get a chance to tell us how you want to get involved, whether it be canvassing with MLAs or joining the Youth Wing or becoming a summer volunteer or participating in our Day of Action or partaking in your constituency executive! We will get you started!!
