#SafeSchoolsNow Town Hall
Are you concerned about back-to-school plans for the fall?
COVID-19 has fundamentally changed the landscape for schools across the province. We need a strong plan with consistent guidelines to get kids, teachers, and staff safely back to school in September.
Unfortunately, each Sask Party’s back-to-school announcement has made us all worry more, not less. They’ve downloaded decisions onto local school boards, without a dime of extra funding or consistent guidelines on testing and mask usage.
There are a lot of outstanding questions about how students and educators will get back in the classroom safely – and what needs to happen before schools open their doors.
On Tuesday, August 18th, you’re invited to join Saskatchewan NDP Leader Ryan Meili and Education Critic Carla Beck for a discussion over Zoom.
If you work in our schools, or if you’re a concerned family member of someone connected with the school system, we want to hear your concerns and priorities for a safe back-to-school plan.
There is no cost to participate and everyone is welcome – regardless of your political stripes.
