The Saskatchewan NDP believes every child deserves a quality education. With a generational investment, we will hire more teachers, build new schools, and support students with diverse needs.

Reversing Education Cuts

The Saskatchewan NDP will hire hundreds of new teachers and educational assistants to reduce class sizes and give students the attention we need. We will also properly fund the 15,000 new students enrolled since 2016 — something the Sask. Party has failed to do.

Building New Schools

The Saskatchewan NDP will speed up the construction of new schools in Regina, Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, and White City. This will address overcrowding and ensure students can learn closer to home.

Supporting Diverse Learners

Increased funding will be allocated for English as an Additional Language (EAL) programs and support for students with learning disabilities, ensuring all students receive the resources we need to succeed.

Commitments for Change

Reverse Scott Moe’s cuts to classrooms and hire more teachers and education workers to ensure every child has the attention and support they need.
Respect teachers, school boards and education workers by working together as partners to improve education and address classroom size and complexity.
Build new schools faster to address overcrowding and serve growing communities. We will fix the school capital program.
Work with partners to ensure First Nations and Métis people have access to education in Northern Saskatchewan.
Increase funding for English as an Additional Language supports in schools to help the children of newcomers succeed.
Increase funding to support students with learning disabilities.
